Hmm.  No comments on my "implicit #pragma-inferface" idea.

If people think it wouldn't work or be too difficult,
that I understand.  I'm just afraid people may have overlooked it
while skimming through their all-too-voluminous email, and that
would be a shame, since I think something like may be the "right"
solution.  (Depending on the linker to remove duplicates is on the
other hand clearly *not* the right solution, since it wastes an
awful lot of processor time as well as disk space for .o files,
though it may be an easier-to-implement solution.)
