Even if you are just submitting patches, at some point the aggregate of those
patches will require a copyright assignment.  It has nothing to do with
whether or not you're in the MAINTAINERS file.

I would recommend that you go ahead and get a copyright assignment on file
if you're going to be submitting patches in this area (assuming you do not
already have one -- I can't easily check at this instant in time).

It's easy.  Download ssh, generate a key.  :-)
