arc profiling vs. automounter

I just tried to run a program compiled with -fprofile-arc and got:

arc profiling: Can't open output file
/disk1/nbecker/CDMA_reverse/channel_inter

I was trying to run from a different machine than the one I compiled
on.  The path to my home is not /disk1/...  How can we fix this?  I
believe it's not a good idea to record the absolute file path.  Can't
it be relative?
