Hi,

First of all, my apologies for sending the "subscribe" command to the
wrong address. That was stupid of me.

Secondly, I need help with compiling/installing egcs1.1.2 on slackware
linux.

I'm not a newbie to egcs. At present, I have egcs/pgcc 1.0.2 installed
on my machine. The compilation for this went flawlessly. I followed
the same procedure for the 1.1.x series, but have run into several
stumbling blocks.

In short, `make bootstrap' aborts halfway through, complaining that a
variety of header files are not found. I'll post details later, but
what I need to know for now is: is this a known/solveable problem for
slackware/libc5 systems? If not, I guess I can save myself the trouble
of expending any more effort trying to compile it.

Thanks for your time.

Hari.
