David Miller rewrote a huge part of the Sparc backend between egcs-1.1.x and
gcc-2.95, so sparc problems you saw in older egcs releases will probably not apply
to 2.95. I'm using -mcpu=ultrasparc a lot (though on linux).

gcc-2.95 will miscompile a lot of things on v9. I'm working on fixing it but
a) it will take some time still
b) won't make it obviously into 2.95
