L.S.,

Outside the realm of the testsuite, I had success with

$ /usr/rel/bin/gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/rel/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-2.95/specs
gcc version gcc-2.95 19990619 (prerelease)

on Red Hat 5.2, running

1. The LAPACK testsuite.
2. Our own NWP testsuite.

Cheers,

      P.S. I'm minorly amused to hear that the C9x standard formally
      uses the term "flexible member". I hadn't heard that one before,
      but I have a strange suspicion that I will hear it alluded to in
      ways not envisioned by the standard. :-)

Editorial comment on unresolved issue 100 w.r.t. the F2K document
(Chapter 16, "Interoperability with the C language") for meeting 149 of
the J3 committee.
