Lost libraries

Hi,

I'm bringing up Caldera 2.2 linux and so I have to port my application
to egcs.  Everything compiles but in the link, it tells me it can't
open -lc - No such file or directory.  The link in another directory
says the same thing about -lstdc++.

We looked in the archives for help but couldn't find anything.

We are stumped.  Please help.
