No, not yet. The only compiler I know of that does this is pgcc, and
there it is very experimental, not being updated since a year, only only
marginally faster (a few %).

There are experimental patches to gcc that are similar.

Good support for MMX and SIMD-type instructions in gcc is expected in
about a year (nothing definitve yet, though).

I would have given katmai insns a try (much easier to sanely use than mmx)
if I had a p-ii machine ;()
