The GCC lists are "open", that is, it is not required to be subscribed
to be allowed to post.


This means that by default we have to explicitely reply to all people
involved in a thread, as not to miss a non-subscriber. 

And it's not possible to remember who is subscribed and who isn't,
especially as this may change even for regulars, who might unsubscribe
to gcc-patches or gcc-bugs in periods where they are short of time.


The best way, in my opinion, to only get a reply sent to the list is
setting the Reply-To: header to gcc@gcc.gnu.org.
