PowerPC gcc 2.8.1 generate wrong code while compiling linux 2.2.9

	gcc-2.8.1 probably is the least reliable compiler for PowerPC.  I
would suggest egcs-1.1.2 or gcc-2.95.  The latest, supported GCC RPMs for
Linux/PPC probably are your best bet.
