After you use bzip2 to unpack the files, you have to rename them. replace the underscore before tar with a '.'. Then use winzip.

Subject: Installing compiler
I'm trying to install the gcc compiler on my Windows NT system. I
downloaded the core compiler and the C++ distribution from your web
site. When I unpack thee two files using bzip2 I get files that ends in
_tar with no file extension. I've tried to run jar and winzip on the
resulting *_tar files, but they don't work. How do I unpack the *_tar
files under Windows NT.
Also, will this C++ compiler run on Windows 95/98?
Thanks!
