Index pages for mailing list archives

>From the index pages you can only reach the date index for each mailing
list. It would be nice to have something like 
  - August, 1999 [Date Index] [Subject Index] [Author Index] [Thread Index]
to go directly to each index.
An alternative would be to skip these pages altogether, and provide
a http://egcs.cygnus.com/lists.html which has direct pointers to the
mailing list archives (like http://www.debian.org/Lists-Archives ).

Where can I find the mhonarc templates and scripts for the generation of
the archives?
