gcc 2.95 on HP-UX 10.20: -g ?

Hello!

I successfully installed gcc on hppa2.0-hp-hpux10.20.
As explained in install/specific.html, I got a failure to "make
bootstrap" and completed using "make all".

BTW, the latest sed patch we have is:

  PHCO_18575 B.10.00.00.AA sed(1) cumulative patch.

presumably newer than PHCO_15468.

After this, I made a new build directory, and set up a soft link to
gnu as in the first directory listed by:

  gcc -print-search-dirs | grep programs:

This is what I had done with egcs 1.1.2. The version of as is from
binutils-2.9.1.
I configured and successfully built there with "make bootstrap",
without a "-g option disabled." warning.

However, compiling with the resulting gcc still doesn't support
debugging.

What did I do wrong?

For the record, -ldce is still required even for building single
threaded code.

Best Regards!
Marc
