Errors installing with "make install"

Hi,
I am having problems at the install stage. The output of config.guess
for my system is:

	mips-sgi-irix5.3

When installing by using "make install" it tries to recompile things,
and I get this error:

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
/usr/bin/../lib/ld:
Object file format error in: reload1.o: bad sc in external symbol: 
*** Error code 1 (bu21)


Can anyone help me?
