[EGCS-1.1b] Successul built and use on DEC Alpha

We successfully compiled/tested/installed egcs 1.1b
on a DEC alpha: OSF1 V4.0 564 alpha
configure used: alphaev56-dec-osf4.0b

We had a small bug which is reported on a separate email to
egcs-bugs@cygnus.com with the suject:

[EGCS-1.1b] Install on DEC alpha

We also successfully built and test our
application (CFD kernel with a Python interface)
which is about 30Mb of source code including
ISO-like C++ (STL) and Fortran 77/90 -
