Build success: i686-pc-linux-gnu

Hi,

I successfully built egcs-1.1b on i686-pc-linux-gnu.  Everything went OK
except the `make install`, which I had to do twice.  The install script
stumbled on makeinfo gcc/cpp.info with no useful error messages, but
running `make install` in the gcc directory, then baking out to the top
level and running again cleared things up.
