Build and Installed egcs-1.1b --Not Sure What I Installed--

Hi,
  The output of the srcdir/config.guess is:
       rs6000-ibm-aix4.2.1.0

  Due to the messages that came out of the
       make -k check
run I am not quite sure what is the state of
the compilers that I have installed.
  I built egcs-1.1b by using a /usr/local directory
that only contained GNU make 3.77.
