Suggestion: make -pipe the default

I'd like to suggestion that the -pipe switch be made the default when compiling
with egcs.

In these days of cheap RAM, why not spend some of it in making the compiler
faster by default? Those (rare?) users who have a problem with piped data could
use --no-pipe (or something like that) to have temp files created instead.

What do you think?

Thanks.
