Upgrading to SGI's current STL?

Cool.  Make a note of fixes (if any) we end up applying to the tree
to make it work.

One of the ideas that I'm still kicking around is having egcs-1.2
just be egcs-1.1.x + critical fixes + new stl + library interface
patch.
