Successful build of egcs on Irix-6.5

Well, so far, everything went flawlessly.  I built egcs on Irix-6.5
using
gcc-2.8.1, and used the SGI "as" and "ld".

{andrew}/usr/local/src/gnu/egcs-1.1b:  gcc --version
egcs-2.91.57

This compiler has now compiled ssh-1.2.26 and pine-4.0.2 without 
a problem.
