Running testsuite with multilibs

OK, yes, but the current issue concerns running `make check' in the
build directory without installing the compiler.  (RJL suggests that
the failure I see with his recipe is due to a bug in the
dejagnu-980528 snapshot.  I haven't tried another one yet.)
