egcs 1.1b build on AIX 4.2.1

   Old news, but you asked:

             Built egcs 1.1b on my AIX 4.2.1 RS/6000 H10.     Oddities
are that I never got gnu binutils to work and
am still using ar/ld/as etc as shipped in AIX.     Got the infamous "toc
overflow" while making; shotgunned it by
putting "-Wl,-bbigtoc" on the CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS in Makefile.
.            Couple things compiled and ran so far seem OK.
