building javadoc-like documentation generator.

I want to build javadoc-like documentation generator fo C++,
based on egcs c++ parser.

  I need in abstract syntax tree and parser itself.

What is preffered: copy all from gcc/cp in new directory and modify
parser, remove codegeneration and so on, or patch existing code
in cp by #ifdefs ? (or if-s)

Are anybody have ideas about possible features and implementation
details ?
