'windres' and getting resources in my EXE (w/ mingw32 1.1)

Hello,

I just started using M. Khan's port of egcs, and am trying to get my vim
executable compiled and linked.

So far, I have only one problem: my resources do *not* show up in the exe
correctly!

I am using the following lines in my makefile:

	obj/vimres.o: vim.rc
		windres --define USE_GUI_WIN32 vim.rc vimres.res
		windres vimres.res obj/vimres.o

which seemingly creates the COFF object ok.  Then I link it in my exe with:


$(CC) $(CFLAGS) -mwindows -s -o gvim.exe $(GUIOBJ) version.c $(OBJ)
-lkernel32 -luser32 -lgdi32 -ladvapi32 -lcomdlg32 -lcomctl32


where the first object in $(GUIOBJ) is 'vimres.o'.  When I run my exe, the
resources cannot be found (this is seen immediately by the program icon
missing, among other things).

Is there some flag I need to set ?
