__eh_pc problem with SCO_SV

egcs-1.1 release on SCO Open Server.

when I tried to compile and link some programms (not all) 
I receive linker_eror about undefined_symbol __eh_pc.

with older versions of gcc I have no this problems.

(nm /usr/lib/lib* ; nm /usr/local/lib/lib*) | grep __eh_pc show nothing.

in libgcc.a exists __eh_alloc and __eh_free.

Questions:

   1. is this known problem ?
   2. what is  __eh_pc itself ?
   3. how to debug this situation ?
