Yep, same failure here; interestingly, I don't get this failure with
dejagnu-971028! IMHO, this particular version was (and still is) the
most accurate one, while more recent versions (incl. -971222), even
with Lu's `look_for_dir_trigger' patch applied, actually sometimes
report failures where none exists, or don't even recognize a
particular failure.

Is it only me, who observed such behaviour, or did anybody else see
similar?

BTW, this is not only on Linux, but also on my usual systems
(m68k-motorola-sysv, m88k-motorola-sysv3, sparc-sun-solaris2.{5.1,6},
sparc-sun-sunos4.1.4).
