Hi,

On the alpha, with -Wcast-align, I am getting the following warnings
in the header files:

/export/csp/usr/include/g++/stl_alloc.h: In function `static char * __default_alloc_template<false,0>::chunk_alloc(long unsigned int, int &)':
/export/csp/usr/include/g++/stl_alloc.h:474: warning: cast increases required alignment of target type
/export/csp/usr/include/g++/stl_alloc.h:475: warning: cast increases required alignment of target type
/export/csp/usr/include/g++/stl_alloc.h: In function `static void * __default_alloc_template<false,0>::refill(long unsigned int)':
/export/csp/usr/include/g++/stl_alloc.h:526: warning: cast increases required alignment of target type
/export/csp/usr/include/g++/stl_alloc.h:527: warning: cast increases required alignment of target type
/export/csp/usr/include/g++/stl_alloc.h:530: warning: cast increases required alignment of target type

Also, my project fails to link, due to multiple defined symbols:

c++  -o csp Queens.o Random.o main.o
/usr/bin/ld:
Random.o: __malloc_alloc_template<0>::__malloc_alloc_oom_handler   : multiply defined
Random.o: __default_alloc_template<false, 0>::end_free: multiply defined
Random.o: __default_alloc_template<false, 0>::start_free: multiply defined
Random.o: __default_alloc_template<false, 0>::heap_size: multiply defined
Random.o: __default_alloc_template<false, 0>::free_list: multiply defined
main.o: __malloc_alloc_template<0>::__malloc_alloc_oom_handler   : multiply defined
main.o: __default_alloc_template<false, 0>::end_free: multiply defined
main.o: __default_alloc_template<false, 0>::start_free: multiply defined
main.o: __default_alloc_template<false, 0>::heap_size: multiply defined
main.o: __default_alloc_template<false, 0>::free_list: multiply defined
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [csp] Error 1
*** Exit 2
Stop.

I would appreciate any hint... This is what `uname -a' says about the
machine:

OSF1 beta.cs.unh.edu V4.0 878 alpha

Thank you,
Tudor
