To help with the specifics, what are the major differences between:
  - gcc-2.8.0
  - egcs-1.0.1

  In particular I'm interested in things that have hit the GNU baseline 
after the August 3rd branch point... and then things that have been 
added to EGCS after that branch point.  (only things which haven't been
added both places of course ;)

  Could also list any major additions to EGCS since the 1.0.1 
release...
