Purify and EGCS

Hi,

Does anyone know what the status of Purify is with EGCS?  I tried
using it some time ago, but I didn't have much success.  I've really
depended on purify for debugging in the past.  If anyone knows of
another (free?) tool to use instead, that would also be great.
