glibc 2.1 patch for egcs

Dear H. J. Lu,

thank you very much for your recent egcs/glibc2-patch; before applying
it, I had seen lots of errors on make check for libio and libstdc++,
after applying your changes (to egcs-1.0.1 on my glibc-2.1(971229)-Linux
box), all tests completed flawlessly for both libraries.
