threads support on solaris

    i didn't receive Teemu patches due to 
    e-mail problem. Can you send in to me in
    private mail? Or will it be in next 
    snapshot ? I'll take a look

They are included into 971225 snapshot.

     The only objection i have right now is
    that --enable-threads will have two
    separate meanings in configure.
     Maybe better have separate options - one
    for MT safe EH and another for
    ObjC runtime ?

Since I don't do objc, I don't know exactly what impacts threads have
there, and if it is a bad thing to have them automatically enabled if the
system supports them.  At least supported thread implementations are not
yet identical.

Regarding mt-safe eh, I think it should be enabled automatically
if threads are supported by the os.
