	Yes, but apparently that tactic was somewhat controversial due
to the contents of system.h.  I decided to go slow until I can reach a
consensus with jfc.  (He hasn't yet responded to my last suggestion
that we just remove stat.h and see if any other headers cause
problems.)  I'm going to submit a patch which does exactly that since
that much we agree on.  I hope that will allay his concerns.
