To whom it may concern:
I have a pentium II system, running RedHat 5.0. I have used cvs to obtain the
release version. I have done the following:
run configure script successfully, my computer was identified as a 686 and
linux-gnu. Everything seems fine.
Updated the RH packages that seem relevant
obatined binutils ...20 from yggdrasil site.
Now Here are my questions:
1) when running the make bootstrap command I get the routine gen_rtx_CLOBBER
undefined message. (this is called several times, in particular it choked for
me in expr.c) What have I done wrong???
2) In obtaining the binutils, did I do the right thing? On the egcs site, it
mentions binutils for lib5c and another for glibc. Which is appropriate for
me? The yggdrasil site did not seem to make such a distinction.
Thanks in advance for your assistance
