#include_next doesn't work....

Hiho!

 Does anyone know ehy #include_next as used in /usr/local/include/limits.h
 for including the compilers limits.h doesn't work on my i486-linux-gnu system
 with glibc-980130? For some reason it never worked... at the moment I am
 include the limits.h directly (you know #include "....")
 Because this is necessary for every versionnumber change it's really 
 disturbing....
