powerpc-ibm-aix4.2.1.0: 980214 bootstrap fails

Bootstrapping of egcs-980214 fails during compilation of
enquire.c with xgcc, giving a huge amount of errors like:
  ....
  /tmp/cc_72Jaa.s: line 139: Invalid displacement
  ....
It seems that something broken in code generation because
assembler file contains symbolic displacements in
"lwz <displacement>(2)" commands instead of numeric.
Note, that lwz command using register other than 2
are valid.
