Egcs fails on compiling Mesa, whereas gcc2.8.0 succeeded.

The problem is part of the code only compiles with optimisation,
part only compiles without.

I guess with egcs being the official compiler, all packages should be
compiled with egcs, right ?

So the only thing I can do, is file a bug report against egcs and hope
for the best ?
