Hi, just a quick comment: In the e-mails headed
  Re: release branch patches, ... and m4 problem
you mention that someone
at cygnus is working on the egcs archives mailing list archive software.
As a quick suggestion, could you invert the ordering of the date archive
(latest -> earliest) and possibly the order of the overall threads in the
thread archive (again latest -> earliest). I'm not on the list but make a
point of checking every so often to catch up on news like `don't compile
kernel *** with egcs ***' or `add *** to line *** of ***.c in xfree86 to
get it to compile', etc.  It is quite annoying to have to wait for a
download of a up to a months stuff I've already either read or ignored to
get to the new stuff. It would greatly improve usability at (presumably)
little programming effort.
