This one has been fixed in the egcs-1.1 pre-release.  Perhaps it was
the same as one of the two codegen bugs on sparc which have been fixed
in this snapshot.  

Thank you for fixing this !  This leaves egcs in a very good shape
because all other remaining bugs of mine can be worked around.
