Problems building egcs-19980727 on mips-sgi-irix6.3

This looks like you're trying to use GNU binutils, which was necessary
for compiling gcc-2.7.x on Irix5.  For egcs, you can/must use the
system assembler/linker, so don't use --with-gnu-as at configure time.

[I've recently built egcs-1.0.3 on Irix-6.3 just fine.]
