Company release form

I work on GPS receivers, and the intellectual property lawyer for my
company said that they do not have any problem with me contributing to
egcs.  However, he said that the company won't sign the release form for
me unless the FSF specifically requests it.  I guess I'm going to have
to get RMS to help me.  I have a lot of respect for him, but I've from
what I have seen on the gcc2 mailing list, he can be somewhat hard to
work with.  Can anybody here make any recommendations as far as what
would be the best way to deal with my dilemma?
