Compilation of egcs-971016

EGCS-971016 compiled and installed without complaints on the
following systems

	UltraSPARC 2300 with Solaris 2.5.1 (sparc-solaris2)
	SPARCstation 10 with Solaris 2.6 (sparc-solaris2)
	PPro with linux 2.0.30 + glibc-2.0.5c (i586-linux + shared)
	PPro with linux 2.0.30 + libc-5.4.39 (i586-linux-gnulibc1 + shared)
	R4000 Indy with Irix 6.2 + Devel 7.0 (mips-sgi-irix6.2)

I'm running the check-gcc tests on the PPro with glibc-2.0.5 now.
Note that the install barfs in texinfo somewhere with /usr/ccs/bin/make
on Solaris 2.6 (fixed my installing gmake-3.76.1).
