glibc2 for linux-powerpc?

Hi-

I was probing around for a version of glibc-2.x which would build on
my PowerMac 7300/200 (604e) but I couldn't find one that would compile
except for an test version in:

       /anonymous@alpha.gnu.org:/gnu/libc/libc-971123.tar.gz

Does anyone know if there are patches available for glibc-2.0.5(c)
that would make it work with the power PC?  Is there another archive I
should look at?
