Hum. I've not seen this before, but I'm also not running quite stock
RH 4.2 -- I've replaced binutils with 2.8.1, since that version can
actually link f771. But you kindof have to know what you are doing to
upgrade binutils in RH 4.2, which is why I am so happy 5.0 is so near.
Can you get any more information about the nature of this fault? Run
genattr under gdb perhaps, and get a backtrace? You may not be able to
because that pc is obviously in a shared library and RH 4.2 so helpfully
strips libc.so.
