gcs fix for internal error on Winnt/Alpha

I was not aware that NT passed the address in $27, which makes
sense considering it doesn't use a GP.  Could someone verify
this fact?

Obviously there were a couple other things you pointed out that
were broken no mater what, but it would be bad to restrict the
pattern to $27 unnecessarily.
