A linux/alpha bug in egcs

I'd happily look at this, but you didn't specify a real configuration
name -- when I use alpha-dec-linuxgnulibc1 and try to compile your
example I just get lots of errors about an unknown register name.

Please make sure to provide a canonical target triplet when reporting
problems.
