from bad to worse

With the original egcs 971031, on sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1 with
--enable-shared, the g++ tests had 141 unexpected failures.
After I applied the dwarf2out patch from Jeff and rebuilt,
I now get 451 (!) unexpected g++ failures.

I applied the patch given in

Perhaps I've messed up badly.  Exactly which patch should be applied
to fix the problem?  If someone can point to the exact message in
the egcs archive that will help.
