Request for considering applications

Hello,Im Sampad , a 2nd year CS undergrad at Jadavpur University.Im a beginner to open source and contribution on Gsoc 26.I have some experience of  cpp both as in algorithmic problem solving as well as some systems- level toy projects.
I have been looking at the repository and found a lot of cool topics that I would like to learn and contribute on.

Please let me know how should I craft an application and how to contact proper mentors.
