With your recent patch, GCC HEAD revision 171437 had problems on:
native: build (about the same as the previous build)
Attached is build output for those targets.
The previous build was of revision 171434.

Log information for changes since the last build:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
r171435 | rth | 2011-03-24 17:34:46 -0700 (Thu, 24 Mar 2011) | 4 lines
Changed paths:
   M /trunk/gcc/ChangeLog
   M /trunk/gcc/config/alpha/alpha.md

alpha: Cleanup sign extension patterns.

Don't bother implementing sub-word sign-extensions for !BWX,
since we need to use DImode intermediates anyway.

Changed paths:

   M /trunk/gcc/config/alpha/alpha.md
   M /trunk/gcc/config/alpha/constraints.md

alpha: Unify SF, DF, QI, HI, SI mode moves with enabled attribute.

For floating-point, this involves in addition conditionalizing the
definition of the "f" register constraint.
