The regression tester is more-or-less a straight Panther 7.0 'retail
box' upgrade, with the originally shipped dev tools, then upgraded
with Software Update to 7.2 and XCode 1.1. I've checked that it also
has gcc-1495 as the default compiler. I'll try to reproduce the problem
on a different system...
