	FYI, the unit-at-a-time patch is causing serious problems on AIX
as well.  AIX does bootstrap, but there are a substantial number of C++
regressions.  AIX 5.1 seems to do better than AIX 4.3; I am not sure why,
but I am guessing do to linker changes to mimic GNU/Linux behavior.
